Commercial Air Conditioning & Heating Systems

Air conditioning is a fundamental element in modern offices and workplaces, it plays a key role in helping businesses maintain productivity in the workplace. Air conditioners do more than just cool the air, they also dehumidify as well as clean and purify to create cool, refreshing air. Today’s models are heat pumps which reverse the cycle to provide a viable heating option.
Working closely with our clients to find the best solution for their business we offer expert advice on every aspect of air conditioning, taking account of budgets, running costs, energy efficiency and the impact that the work itself will have.

Types of Commercial Installation

Wall Mounted

High or low wall mounted air-conditioning units are the most popular choice of air-conditioning units for all manner of applications and are also becoming the system of choice for residential settings.

They are usually the most cost-effective option as they can be easily retrofitted with the minimum of disruption or redecoration required. Wall units can be mounted at an elevated level and with a vast selection of models they can blend into most settings. Today’s wall mounted systems provide cooling and heating as well as dehumidifying options also being available.

Under Ceiling Air Conditioning Systems

Under ceiling air conditioning units may be required and installed in larger commercial areas where the use of other systems such as cassette, wall mounted or ducted are not feasible.

They are very powerful and may require fewer units to cool large areas and, as the name suggests, they fit below and tight to the ceiling. The powerful fan motor projects airflow up to 10 metres from the unit which may mean that it is not suitable for situations where people are static or seated for extended periods.

Ceiling Cassette

Ceiling cassette air conditioning units are very popular for commercial applications such as offices, restaurants, shops and commercial units.

They can be positioned and fixed centrally within a room or distributed evenly depending on how many are required. Fixed either within a suspended ceiling for a discreet look, or simply fixed within a vaulted roof space for a more industrial look. They provide an even and distributed flow of air across the whole space.

Ducted Air Conditioning Systems

Ducted systems can be designed for both residential and commercial premises. Although ideal for almost any setting, they are more suited to buildings with suspended ceilings, new builds or those undergoing refurbishment.

The air is circulated via a system of ductwork which can be hidden from view within a ceiling void and almost seamlessly blend with the interior décor. Although ducted systems have many advantages as well as in some cases being able to integrate with air handling Units (AHUs), they are usually the most expensive option.
